As a new mother, I’m constantly looking for ways to do what’s best for my son. I’m sure you are the same way if you googled ‘Best Organic Baby Formula’ and made it to my blog. For me, the search for the best organic baby formula began because I realized I was not giving my baby organic formula. I was giving my baby the same formula the hospital sent us home with, which was Similac Pro Advance. I thought Similac Pro Advance was one of the best formulas on the market because this formula cost more than many of the other formulas in stores. Similac pro advance is now GMO free but they are still not made with organic ingredients. To steer clear of my baby ingesting hormones, antibiotics, steroids, pesticides or herbicides, I knew I needed organic formula. Thus, I began the search to find the best organic baby formula available.
I created this Infant and Baby Halloween costume list after looking through countless costumes for my little one. I hope this list of Infant and Baby Costumes will inspire you to find the perfect costume for your little one. Happy Halloween!

I’m so excited to share photos from our family hike at Big Basin Redwoods State Park. This park is about one hour from where we live in San Jose, California. I feel so blessed to live in California because there are so many beautiful hiking trails surrounding us that I have yet to discover. I will be sure to post all of our family hikes here to help you decide which destinations you may want to explore.
Upon arrival, we decided it would be best to speak with someone about trail recommendations. We were looking for a trail loop that was somewhere around 5 miles, has plenty of shade, and has a waterfall. The park ranger we spoke with recommended the “Skyline to the Sea” trail which connects to the “Sequoia” trail. The elevation for this hike is about 300 feet, which is considered on the easy side but can be quite a workout!
Wondering What to Wear to Disneyland?
Step #1. Get in the spirit and buy yourself these must-have Minnie ears! I purchased my baseball cap Minnie ears ahead of time for about $12. Most of the ears sold at Disneyland are $24.99. I’m so happy I purchased my ears ahead of time because it took the pressure off of finding a perfect pair at Disneyland and wasting precious exploration time. Also keep in mind, Disneyland offers beautiful ears but they do not have decent selection of baseball cap ears.
I searched high and low to find a versatile backpack that I could use on day trips with my baby. I initially looked at backpacks designed to be diaper bags, but felt they were all so big, bulky and pricey. Therefore, I decided to find a standard backpack that I could use as a diaper bag. I did not want a large backpack so I searched through mini and small women’s backpacks.
I’ve compiled my top five small backpack recommendations below. These backpacks are light weight and do not look big and bulky while wearing. These backpacks also have multiple pockets for storage and organization and should hold everything you would need for a day out of the house with your baby, such as baby bottles, baby food, snacks, diapers, wipes, a spare baby outfit, as well as your cellphone, keys and wallet. These backpacks are perfect to serve a dual purpose as your purse and diaper bag.
These small backpacks are perfect to serve a dual purpose as your purse and diaper bag. However, keep in mind, these bags are small so you will not fit much more than just the essentials for you and your baby. If you want to bring extra items such as baby blankets, toys and such, you may want to pursue purchasing a larger backpack or a large backpack designed specifically to be a diaper bag.
Without further ado, here is my list of Top Five (5) Small / Mini Backpacks that can be used as your Diaper bag for day trips.
I am so excited to have come across the best container for baby formula! Introducing… the Powder Nest Formula Storage Container! Wow, that’s a mouthful. Anyways, this product has only been on the market for a few months now. I received notice of this baby formula container through an email, from the company with whom I purchase my baby formula through. I was beyond thrilled. Could it be? The solution to my formula storage problem? I immediately went to the website to purchase the container. Prior to this container, I was unable to find any product made specifically to store baby formula while meeting a set of criteria I had.
My criteria to find the best container for baby formula:
- Must fit at least 600g of formula
- Must come with a leveler – to produce precise scoop measurements
- Must have a hygienic allotted area to hold the formula scoop
- Must create an air tight seal – to keep formula fresh
- Easy disassembly to thoroughly clean
- BPA free
