DO NOT BUY ANY KITTEN FROM BLUE MOON FAMILY RAGDOLL BREEDERS.

Blue Moon Ragdoll Cattery Kitten SCAM

Their website is www.bluemoonragdollcattery.com.

I got scammed on Friday, June 18 2021. I spent $770 on a Ragdoll Kitten I found online.

I missed some major red flags and I should have known.

THEY ARE A SCAM! THERE ARE NO KITTENS!!

I’ve posted images below and wrote on them to help show you what I mean.

This is how Blue Moon Family Ragdoll Breeders shows up on Google, and as a Google paid ad. That’s another reason why I thought they were legit.

Wouldn’t Google weed out the scam websites? Apparently not. I don’t trust those other paid ad ragdoll breeders either.

Here’s what happened…

I was looking for a Ragdoll kitten online and came across many websites selling ragdolls. This is my first time looking ofor a pet through an online breeder so most of the websites looked either old fashioned or modern and user friendly. I noticed the prices ranged from $300 to $1500 + for a kitten.

Now a little history,.. I recently lost my beloved cat Flufferton and have been feeling sad about it. I searched all the local animal shelters and Craigslist to find a kitteen that reminded me of my Fluffy. After coming up with no prospects, I realized I would look for a kitten through a breeder that has Ragdoll kittens since my kitty looked like a ragdoll mix.

I then started reaching out to online ragdoll breeders. I saw Vicky on Blue Moon Family Breeders website and was smitten. I fell in love with those eyes.

Buying a pet is such an emotinal purchase and its easy to skip over red flags when you want something.

So, Blue Moon Family Ragdolls responded to my inquiry almost immediately. They sent a professional-ish email stated the perfect personality of Vicky, along with four pictures. They then followed up with a video when I did not respond quick enough.

I told them I would talk to my husband and son later to see if they too loved the kitty Vicky. They knew I have a family and still scammed me. How effing dare they do this to innocent people who just want to love a kitty.

This is why I write this post. I want to prevent you from making the same mistake! DO NOT BUY FROM BLUE MOON CATTERY!!!

Many online brreeders are scam websites who take your money and ghost you. Or worse off, they try to keep getting money out of you. They may mention pet insurance, flight insurance anything! Make them get on a live video call and show you the pet!

Anyways, Vicky cost $700 plus $70 to fly her anywhere in the US. Also, an additional $50 to have the pet basically transported from the airport directly to your home address. I passed on the $50 home delivery because I wanted to meet this kitty as soon as he landed.

They asked for a Zelle payment so I sent over the $770 through Zelle, which is a payment app connected through my bank account. I thought Zelle had some sort of buyer protection but turns out this is supposed to be used for friends and family and tough luck if someone scams you. Its not like Paypal where you a protected as a buyer for scams and fradulent activity like this.

DO NOTY PAY THROUGH ZELLE OR OTHER NON PROTECTED PAYMENT APPS.

Long story short, they ghosted me after saying they were busy arranging the flight. I emailed them back tons of times calling them SCAM SCAM SCAM and I want my money back.
